Olymp Trade review

Olymp Trade lists a minimum deposit of $10 and a maximum payout of 95%, with apps for Android and iOS plus a web platform. This review sets out what Indian traders actually get, what the platform does not publish, and where the Reserve Bank of India stands.

Figures checked 19.10.2026

What Olymp Trade offers Indian traders

Olymp Trade runs its own platform, available on Android, iOS and the web. The minimum deposit is $10 and the minimum trade size is $1, which puts it in line with several other fixed-time platforms that accept Indian users.

The maximum payout Olymp Trade lists is 95%. That figure is what the platform advertises as the best-case return on a winning fixed-time contract, not a rate you should expect on every trade. Payouts vary by asset and market conditions, and a losing trade returns nothing.

For deposits in India, the practical routes are UPI, bank transfer, cards and USDT. UPI is how most deposits here are made, usually through a payment partner rather than the platform itself. Cards are subject to your bank's international transaction limit, and USDT, usually TRC-20, is the route traders fall back on when a card is declined.

Licensing and the RBI Alert List

Olymp Trade's licences on record are a VFSC company number, 40131, for Aollikus Limited, and membership of the Financial Commission. The VFSC is the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission, an offshore registry, and the Financial Commission is a private dispute-resolution body, not a financial regulator.

The Reserve Bank of India does not license offshore forex platforms and fixed-time contracts. In November 2025, the RBI referred to its own Alert List of entities not authorised to deal in foreign exchange under FEMA or to operate an electronic trading platform. The list held 95 entities as of 19.11.2025, and the RBI states the list is not exhaustive and that a resident trading outside permitted purposes or on an unauthorised platform is liable under FEMA.

We do not hold a regulator warning on record for Olymp Trade specifically. That is not the same as an endorsement: the absence of a named warning does not make the platform authorised in India, and the RBI's position on offshore fixed-time platforms applies to the category as a whole.

How Olymp Trade compares on cost and payout

Olymp Trade's $10 minimum deposit is the same as IQ Option, Quotex, Binomo, Expert Option and Exnova, and higher than Deriv at $5 and Pocket Option at $5. Its $1 minimum trade size matches most competitors, though Deriv goes lower at $0.35 and BinaryCent at $0.10.

On maximum payout, Olymp Trade's 95% sits above Stockity at 90%, Pocket Option at 92%, Exnova at 92% and BinaryCent at 92%, but below Quotex at 98% and Deriv at 100%. These are advertised ceilings, and the payout you are offered on any given contract can be lower.

For an Indian trader depositing via UPI, the headline dollar figures also pass through a conversion step into rupees. The platform quotes in dollars, but your bank or payment partner settles in INR, and the exchange rate applied is not set by Olymp Trade.

Platforms and what you can trade

Olymp Trade offers its own platform on Android, iOS and the web. There is no MT4 or MT5 integration listed, which narrows the toolset for traders who rely on MetaTrader's charting and automated trading. Deriv, by contrast, lists MT5 and TradingView alongside its own apps, and Pocket Option lists MT4 and MT5.

The platform itself is the main product here: fixed-time contracts on a range of assets, with the $1 minimum trade size keeping the entry barrier low. What the reference does not tell us is the number of assets, the expiry times available, or whether demo accounts are offered to Indian users. Those details are not published in the material we hold.

For Indian traders, the practical question is less about the app's design and more about the payment route. UPI deposits through a payment partner can work smoothly until they do not, and card deposits depend on your bank's international transaction settings. USDT remains the fallback when a card is declined.

What Indian traders should check before depositing

The RBI's Alert List is the document to read before funding any offshore fixed-time platform. The list is not exhaustive, and the RBI's stated position is that a resident trading outside permitted purposes or on an unauthorised platform is liable under FEMA. That liability sits with the trader, not the platform.

Tax is a separate matter. Any gains from trading are reportable to the Income Tax Department, and the onus of correct reporting is on the trader. The platform does not handle Indian tax compliance for you.

If something goes wrong with a deposit or a withdrawal, the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal is the Indian authority to contact. Olymp Trade's membership of the Financial Commission offers a private dispute channel, but it does not replace Indian law or Indian regulators.

  • Check the RBI Alert List before depositing
  • Confirm your bank's international transaction limit for card deposits
  • Keep records of every UPI and USDT transaction for tax reporting
  • Treat the 95% payout as a ceiling, not a promise
